Cow Families Semen & Embryos Sales


	Posthaven Limousin is a small, but progressive Limousin enterprise located near the village of Alma, Ontario, located approximately one hour northwest of the city of Toronto. Posthaven prides itself in being one of the few all polled fullblood herds in Canada. The females that form the nucleus of our herd have been carefully selected and bred for their genetic capabilities. Some have been in our herd for many years while others have been purchased from reputable breeders across the country and the United States. AI sires have been selected from Ontario, France, Western Canada and the United States.

Our cows must produce what the commercial and purebred markets demand. Females are raised for performance and longevity and bred females are offered both at the farm and in our production sales. The young sires are fed in our BIO supervised bull test, and must pass our strict criteria, before being sold as breeding bulls. The rest are marketed locally as freezer beef orders. Breeding bulls have been sold to 5 provinces and exported to Russia and to China. In the spring of 2009 our first shipment of semen was exported to France. We now offer both locally and internationally; embryos from matings carefully selected.

	There have been many changes at Posthaven Limousin. Our herd has matured to a point that the entire herd is polled, with many double polled and a few homo polled. For the past few years all our double polled animals are tested by Igenity for the homo polled trait. Your visit to our website and to our farm is welcomed. We are committed to the Limousin breed and make it our aim to provide refreshing new genetics both to Canada and to our program every year.
