Nancy and I thank you for taking the time to stop by our website. We invite you to stop by the farm some day. Until then we hope your tour of our website will enlighten you about our breeding program and the environment in which we have chosen to raise Herefords and purebred Simmentals.
Manitoba has proven to be an ideal place to raise and test purebred cattle. Variation of environment is the most common factor when it comes to raising cattle in Manitoba. Weather conditions as well as pasture environments are constantly changing making it a great testing ground for purebred genetics.
As we say in our ads...
BULLS ARE OUR BUSINESS - OUR FEMALES KEEP US IN BUSINESS.
Did you know that
- 95% of WLB bulls go to commercial producers.
- Preparations are currently under way for the 2012 WLB Spring Bull Sale, which will be held at the farm on March 27. As always keep an eye on our website for updates/news regarding this event and the WLB bulls selling.
- As much as we would like to, we cannot take all our bulls to Agribition. WLB GLOBAL 72M 50S was a $10,200 high seller in our 2007 Spring Bull Sale. GLOBAL has never seen a show halter. His get was the first place Get of Sire at the 2010 Agribition National Hereford Show. Two sons and one daughter were division winners and his very first-born daughter won her two-year-old cow class and is the dam of our lead off calving ease sire, WLB Lego 83T 90X. Global’s influence has never been more popular. Global semen has now sold to breeders around the world.
-
We would like to remind you that semen is available on a number of select WLB sires including our new semen sire WLB Lego 83T 90X and WLB Fresh 035J 7M, the Sire of Canadian National Champions. Semen is now available on Hi-Cliffe WLB Sammy 13X, 2011 Canadian Reserve Grand Champion Bull. Please refer to our semen page for information on Sammy and our other top semen sires.
We invite you to stop in, see the WLB cowherd, the WLB herd bulls, and sit down to a cup of coffee and talk cattle with us.
We are located 6 miles North of Douglas, 1 mile East then
½ mile North over the tracks.
If you would like to get on our mailing list please contact us. You can do so by clicking our email address which can be found at the bottom of each page.
