 Winn Man Farms is a family run ranch nestled in the heart of Manitoba’s cattle country. We run 600 mother cows and crop about 1200 acres of grain land. A large portion of this is put up for silage. Our business is all about bulls! We are seedstock producers for the Charolais breed and supply bulls to a vast area. Our climate, terrain and manpower dictate to us what kind of cattle to raise. This type is an easy doing, efficient individual that doesn’t have to be pampered. They must survive cold, harsh winters and cover a lot of rugged pasture land in summer. Good hair coats and excellent feet are a must. Our type of cow may be smaller than most Charolais breeders but we breed them to “power” bulls and the result is an easy-doing, efficient female that brings in a calf that pounds the scale down in the fall. We run big numbers and don’t have time to pamper hay burners. We raise ranch cattle that look after themselves.
