Welcome to our 11th
Annual Bull Sale! We are pleased to have again this year our guest
consignors Stauffer Farms Ltd with a strong set of 2 year old Hereford
bulls. We are excited about our 2008 offering, we are using more of our
own genetics and are pleased to see that the traits we are selecting for
are enhancing the value of the bulls we are offering! This year we are
offering bulls to you out of 3 Herd sires we raised. The bulls on offer
have MORE! More volume, more hair, more size, more bull!!! We are
focused on Quality, always have been and always will be. We sort all our
producing females by cow families so that for every bull we sell we know
that there is calving ease, fertility, performance, longevity, and
soundness bred into each one. All the bulls are registered and
performance data compiled through the Canadian Charolais Association,
EPD’s like them, use them or not we added them for your reading
pleasure!. Our herd is part of the Traceback verification program
developed by Cow/Calf Management Services. We work closely with Dr. Troy
Drake of Cow/Calf Management services on our herd health protocols which
includes an extensive herd health program and BVD testing program which
ensures all bulls sold are of top soundness, health and BVD free. We run
our herd the same as the commercial herds, they have seen no creep feed,
and they were weaned in October. They were placed on a silage based
ration and have exploded and continue to flourish. The bulls are fresh
and are fed TMR rations developed by Cow/Calf Management Services
gaining 3 lbs/day, some of the bulls are gaining close to 4 lbs/day. All
the bulls are being fed in large groups and are free to roam in large
4-5 acre pen. These high gaining cattle will only bring up your bottom
dollar. It is no more apparent now than before that there is a huge
price spread between the heavy weight calves and the light weight
calves. So take advantage of high bred vigor by using our Charolais herd
sires and make sure to take a heavy weight calf to town. See you on
