Welcome and thank you for visiting our website! Meadow Acres Simmentals is a fifth-generation farming operation located in South East Saskatchewan. We have been raising red and black purebred and percentage Simmental cattlefor the last ten years. Our passion for the seedstock industry fuels us to continuously move forward. Over the last several years of selling Simmental bulls, we strive to produce bulls that are functional for commercial producers, that are built to last and help you improve your program and bottom line. Our unwavering focus for our operation is performance and maternal traits that are vital to producing seedstock that are productive, easy fleshing, fertile and look good. We take this mission very seriously and work diligently to continually breed and raise better cattle. Our success is directly correlated to our customers productivity and progress.

We would like to thank our customers and friends that have supported our program over the years. The trust and confidence you place in our program allows us to continue to be apart of the seedstock industry. It’s an industry that we are proud to be a part of and blessed to raise our family in. Thanks again for your interest in our program, if you would like more information or a catalogue, please feel free to use the Contact tab or give us a call anytime.

Blair & Laurel along with their son Dustin and his wife Kirsten and two daughters, Brenna & Britt make up Meadow Acres Simmentals. We currently calve 300 Simmental cows and crop 5000 acres of cash crops. Livestock is a great part of our history and an exciting part of our future. Fred Fornwald started a dairy operation with his sons in 1979 under the prefix Lampada Holsteins. The Lampada prefix has won two master breeder awards and is very well known for high quality Holstein cattle for the dairy industry. Blair started Meadow Acres Polled Herefords in 1990 with 10 pairs. In 2008 Blair split away from the dairy operation and together with Dustin the emphasis was put on the beef cattle and cash crops. The cowherd was increased to 160 and the bulls were sold at the Regina Bull Sale. With the great demand for Simmental genetics 6 pairs were purchased in 2009. When the opportunity arose to purchasea large number of the LaBatte Simmental herd in 2013 there was no turning back. The Herefords were dispersed and the rest they say is history. Our family is also a proud 4-H family and our daughters are very passionate about their cattle, showing and are starting to have quite the opinions of their own (Lord help us!). It makes what we do very worthwhile when you can do it all as a family.
