We are very excited to announce
our first annual
Beef-A-Rama
here at the farm on June 25!!
The theme is "Eat-Sleep-Show!"
- Levi Jackson has accepted our invitation to judge the
cattle classes! We welcome all Juniors to mark this date on their
calendars and to contact us with any questions. Rob would like
everyone to bring out their show string and use this as a prep show
to gear up for Bonanza in July! We would also welcome our Juniors to
bring their art work, public speaking and literature.
We are offering several classes.
*Cattle Classes: Heifer calf 2011, Jr.
Yearling heifer- April 1-Dec. 31, 2010, Sr. Yearling heifer- Jan.
1-March 31, 2010, Two-Year-Old and calf, Mature cow and calf, steer,
best 3 head from a family, best 5 head from a zone.
*Grooming and Showmanship (Pee Wee,
Junior, Intermediate, Senior)
*Public Speaking (impromptu and
prepared)
*Photography
(Hereford
cattle only, Hereford cattle with people, Commercial Hereford event)
*Individual scrap book
*Literature (poem, non-fiction,
fiction)
*Art (cattle sale or poster, collage,
hand drawn, one page ad)
*Individual judging

The calves appear to be full term, weights ranging from 70-90 lbs.
The calves are
healthy and all but one have weaned themselves off
the milk replacer supplement.
