Our Story
Originally from Nova Scotia, Kim and Colin Palmer moved to Saskatchewan in 1993 to further Colin’s veterinary career. Having been raised on a commercial beef farm Colin had long-desired a cattle herd of his own and following the sale of our last polled Hereford cow in Nova Scotia we purchased the first 3 Red Angus females from the Laredo Cattle Company in December 1997… 2 cows and a heifer.
To expand the herd embryo transfer was used with six pregnancies, 3 bulls and 3 heifers sired by Red LMAN King Rob 8621, resulting from a single flush of one of the cows, Red Symbrae Lady 189A, early in 1998 who then conceived on the next heat and produced twin heifers sired by Red Leachman Heavenly 8141. The other cow, Red SSS Elba 916B, was successfully flushed to King Rob in 1999 and produced one our of most productive cows Red KCP.
