Double L Ranch is located in central Alberta at
Innisfail. Started in 1965 by Lester, Geraldine and Lorne Wagers, when they
imported their first Charolais Female from France Double L Ranch is now run by
Lorne and Tena Wagers. Our ranch is home to 130 purebred Charolais cows. The
herd runs on intensified rotational grazing pastures with silage and haylage
being the winter month's feed source.
At Double L Ranch, our drive is for performance with perfection. We breed our females to performance bulls that have above average gains while maintaining structural integrity. We concentrate on fertility, early testicular development in our bulls and early maturity in our females. Our herd is well known for their quiet and docile nature. You will be hard pressed to find a female without a perfect udder.
Our show cattle and our commercial cattle are one in the same. We breed bulls that are correct, thick and beefy that can and do exist in both industries. We believe in our program, do not chase trends, and have always believed in breeding performance bulls that will bring profitable gains.
