Choosing a Web Service or Designer to create your first web page is
difficult to do. Everyone has an opinion and everyone seems to have
a friend that can do it for you. Talk with a few people that have
sites to find out if they would deal with the same people again.
Are they happy with their site? Is it what they expected? Total
project costs, future Company growth and direction identified,
Company internet expectations and monthly internet costs are all
considerations that should be addressed.
Try to deal with someone who is willing to spend
some time with you because only you know what you want. Changes
will be needed to be made along the way.
- Are they willing to make
changes to your site in a timely manner at what cost?
- Are they willing to do
maintenance on your site?
- Are they going to be creating
websites in 6 months or a year?
Keep in mind that a good
Site Developer is willing to discuss ideas and will not mind taking
your personal taste or company image into consideration when
developing your site. They will also be willing to look at sites
that you do find attractive to get a feel of what you have in mind
so that ideas can be discussed clearly.
Check with them to make sure you understand what services
are being offered as included in the site price. Extras can add
considerably to your costs if they are priced separately. A
simple request can quickly turn into $1,000.00's in extra charges if
both parties are not communicating efficiently. |
