Welcome to Ward’s Red Angus! 2009 marked our 33^nd year in the Red Angus breed. In 1976 my dad (Tom) brought home our first Red Angus cows. The farm name was Red Letter Stock Farm. In 1990 Denise and I started Ward’s Red Angus.  Our sons Josh (18) and Cole (14) work closely with us on the farm as well as both our fathers.  It takes a group effort to make our place run smoothly. We are also very fortunate to have Stuart and Jenn Redekop a part of our farm, whether its branding or showing help in the fall they are always ready to lend
a hand.

We believe Angus cattle are one of the most versatile and functional breeds in the cattle industry. After 30 years we feel that we have a traditional Angus cow herd that are good producers and are easy keeping.  Many of the original cow families are still prevalent today. The Blackbird, Lassie, Freyja and Lydian lines to name just a few.

Functional cows that work in the pasture are a must!

We feel if you have a consistent cow herd you will have strong, functional bulls! Our bulls maintain moderate birth weights and high weaning weights. We feed all of our bulls at home in a large spacious pen, so they have plenty of room to move. They are fed a moderate ration and are grown out slowly therefore not affecting their longevity. We are pleased to announce our 1st annual Ward's Red Angus & Guests Bull Sale at Saskatoon Livestock Sales.

It is important to be involved in the cattle industry
on various levels. I have been a director for the Saskatchewan Angus Association for many years. Our boys are very involved with 4-H, they belong to the Saskatoon 4-H Beef Club and the Vanscoy Multiple Club and as parents we have taken our turns leading different projects.

About 80% of our business is repeat customers! This is something that takes years to build. We try to maintain this through customer relations and a high quality product.  Satisfaction with your purchase whether its a 1/2 a beef, package of heifers or your next herd sire is very important to our operation.
